Help

Welcome to the Ken Wilber Biography Project app. Think of this as a Netflix of Ken’s biography video archive. Here are some suggestions if you need help playing with it.

1. Main Screen. When you push “enter” on the title screen you arrive at the main selection screen. There are two things you can do here.

A. In the top half of the screen you can look at a video which contains testimonials to Ken from the many extraordinary people his work has influenced. Click on the box to start the video. Use the full screen feature icon on the player interface to see the testimonials full screen.

B. Topic Selection. In the topic selection box in the bottom half of the screen you can choose a topic you want Ken to talk about. There are eight topics. To see more than the first five topics, click on the arrow to the right of the topic selection box. The slider will move to show you more selections. To go back, click on the arrow to the left of the topic selection box. Once you click on a topic you will see a pop up box that explains the topic. If you want to go proceed with that topic click “select”. If you want to go back to the topic selection screen click “Back to Topics”. Once you are in a topic, in those subjects where it is appropriate, you will notice clips that have a "1", "2" or "3" designation. This designation represents a certain level of knowledge of Integral Theory. "1" represents no prior knowledge of Integral Theory, "2" represents some knowledge of Integral Theory and "3" represents an expert level of knowledge of Integral Theory. All the clips are interesting but levels "2" and "3" assume a certain level of knowledge about Integral language and concepts.

2. Video Clips. Once you have selected a topic you will be presented with an assortment of video clips that are sorted to address your query. To see more than the first five video clips, click on the arrow to the right of the video clip box. To go back, click on the arrow on the left of the video clip box. When you click on a clip icon, you will get a pop up box that describes the clip. If you want to play it, you click on “play”. A video player will launch and play the clip. On I-Pad's you will have to push the play button at the front of the video. If you don’t want to watch that video click on “cancel”. This will take you back to the video clip selection screen.

3. Video Play. Once the video player launches, the video should begin automatically. If it doesn’t, look for a play button in the middle of the player screen. Once the video is playing you can stop it and return to the video clip selection screen by clicking on “back to collection.”

IF you want to save this video for later viewing or to send to a friend, click on “save.” You need to be signed in as a user to save your personal favorites. If you do not have a user profile, you can create one by clicking on the link that says “create new account.” Your e-mail will not be shared with anyone other than Ken.

4. Save/Share. The third area on upper left of the main screen is “Save/Share.” This is where you can access the videos you have "saved" to review or send to a friend. You need to be signed in to use this depository of your personal "saved" selections. If you are not signed in, you will be prompted for your user name and password when you click on the save/share box. If you don’t have an account, you can create one by clicking on the link “create new account.” To send a video to a friend, you can use one of the four methods offered to the right of the video clip information. Notice: If you are using the Firefox browser you will need to turn off your tracking protection under your "privacy" settings for the FF browser if you are not seeing the share icons.
